For any given project there are 5 different ways of approaching the project be it for construction of a new building or interior improvements. As a practical manner however the size and scope of the assignment usually limits the number of choices to two or three contracts.
Construction Management

The key to successful Construction Management is having the owner/client appoint the manager at the same time as the Architects, Engineers and Designers. The owner receives maximum value from all key members of the team and this protects the owner from possible conflict.

As your Construction Manager we would be able to use our industry experience with trades and construction practices regarding construction techniques, materials and material cost based on more recent information than the other team members.

Additionally Construction Management yields a scheduling advantage. Since cost estimating and budgeting can be completed at the same time as the design is being finalized budgets can be better refined prior to the final approval.
Project Management
The Primary difference between the Construction Management approach presented above and Project Management is that with Project Management the owner/client needs only to turn to a single point of contact that is responsible for al aspects of the project and its construction.

As your Project Manager it will be our responsibility for coordinating the activities of all other team members including Architects, Design Consultants, Mechanical and Electrical Consultants and the Trades.

We would consolidate all scheduling , budgeting, design and construction activities from all members of the team providing one concise and thorough reporting package to the owner giving them a worry free, stress free project.

Design Build
In Design Build construction the owner enters into a single contract to cover both architectural design services and the physical construction.
As owner you will have a single point of contact , Blackwood Miller Ltd. for collaborative input and information.

When compared to other typical methods of completing construction a design build process can yield one of the shortest overall construction periods.
This is possible because resources and specialized design services are brought together under a single organization.
